Doug Balog is a Real Estate Professional with over 40 years of practical business experience and 35 years specializing in marketing real estate. Doug’s real estate experience includes over 10 years in land development, commercial and industrial real estate in Edmonton, Alberta with D.A. Balog & Associates Ltd., a company he founded and sold in 1986, followed by broker/partner/general manager of a 15 office RE/MAX franchise and EVP/COO/Partner for NRS (National Real Estate Services) of Vancouver, B.C. which owned over 400 franchise offices including Red Carpet & Gallery of Homes franchises acquired by NRS throughout the U.S.
Doug took a sabbatical from the real estate industry in 1994 as co-founder of NIHA (National In-Line Hockey Association), the national organizing body for amateur roller hockey for the USA, Canada, Japan, Europe and South America. NIHA was sold to the USA Hockey and Canadian Hockey associations in 1996.
Doug has invested time towards the betterment of the real estate industry chairing Political Affairs, Arbitration, Intergovernmental, Past President committees and elected as President to a Board of Realtors. Doug has been a member of several Boards of Directors for private and public companies.
Hobbies include playing ice hockey, vehicle restoration, riding his Harley Davidson, in-line skating, biking, hiking and traveling.
